New traffic restrictions to be trialled in York
New bollards are to be installed in York city centre as part of new restrictions on traffic in the pedestrianised zone.
City of York Council is making the changes.
There will be additional bollards at St Sampson's Square and on Coney Street. These will be fitted on November 5.
This is an experimental traffic order due to last for a maximum of 18 months, though it could be made permanent after six months.
The council is asking businesses to bring these changes to the attention of suppliers.
