A tasty week in store with over 60 restaurants signed up for York Restaurant Week.
After a successful first year, York Restaurant Week is back bigger and better, with over 60 restaurants participating this year. York Restaurant Week will run from 2 – 8 March across the city centre.
York Restaurant Week is organised by The York Business Improvement District (York BID) and was set up to encourage diners to venture out during a quieter time of year. The initiative is co-ordinated by Business Manager, Chris Bush.
“After the success of last year’s event, we’re delighted that Restaurant Week is back with a fantastic variety of venues participating,” says Chris.
Indeed, participating restaurants are hoping that diners will step outside of their comfort zone and try something new during York Restaurant Week. “We’ve added a £5 voucher this year to extend the range of options. So diners can choose from offers ranging from a coffee and cake to a full three course dinner,” adds Chris. “This is a great opportunity for those who work in the city to have an affordable lunchtime treat, or for families and friends to dine out together without breaking the bank.”
Newcomers to the York hospitality scene Grön Kafe, Fish & Forrest, Manahatta, Supersonic Café, The Fossgate Tap, Tank & Paddle, The Old House and Zaap are all participating in York Restaurant Week this year. We’re also pleased to have several of York’s luxury hotel’s putting forward a range of offers.
Tarik Abdeladin, Owner at Los Moros said. "Last year Restaurant Week was a very useful event, which gave us the platform to get locals to come and give us a try and helped us to put our name out there. I believe it is a fantastic opportunity for local people to come and sample some of the best restaurants in the city."
To take advantage of the offers, diners register for the offer they would like at www.yorkrestaurantweek.co.uk Here they can find the details of all participating venues and fixed price menus of either £5, £10, £15 or £20. There is no limit to the amount of offers they can access, and vouchers are completely free to download.
Customers are advised to book ahead – every restaurant has a limited capacity and offers are anticipated to be popular. Booking a table is a sensible step to avoid disappointment.
Offers range from Grilled Cheese Sandwich (inc. vegan option) + 1 filling plus any hot or soft drink for £5 (Fortyfive Vinyl Cafe) to a three course dining experience for £15 (Carluccios) or enjoying a Sparkling Afternoon Tea for £20 (The Grand). Vouchers are valid until 8th March 2020.
