City Centre Insights
York BID and City of York Council have partnered to invest in new technology that will effectively monitor city centre performance by better understanding people movements, behaviour and spend.
Movement Insights brings together data provided by O2, VISA and social media to give a clear picture of how a city, retailer or other physical space is performing and where the most effective interventions and campaigns might be to improve performance.
The more data that is captured overtime the clearer our understanding of the economic landscape will become. These insights will offer the BID, Local Authority, and other key partners in the city the opportunity to implement positive change.
The monthly report reports that have been published to date are viewable via the links below. We would like to invite all business owners, managers, staff, and partner to familiarise themselves with the data and identify how it might be of benefit to them and their business.
