York Restaurant Week is aimed at supporting local businesses by encouraging footfall into the city centre at a typically quiet time of year. This year there were over 100 offers to choose from, priced at either £5, £10, £15 or £20. Go to our website www.yorkrestaurantweek.co.uk to see which restaurants and cafes took part.
The event has proved to be a hit with York residents. This year 9,125 vouchers were downloaded from our website with a monetary value of over £107,000, not including spend on drinks and sides.
"Last year Restaurant Week was a very useful event, which gave us the platform to get locals to come and give us a try and helped us to put our name out there. I believe it is a fantastic opportunity for local people to come and sample some of the best restaurants in the City." Tarik Abdeladin, Owner and Chef at Los Moros
"The event was absolutely fantastic! So many people were interested and most of them were based in York and surrounding areas. There are not enough events in York oriented towards locals and local businesses." Neringa Didzgalvyte, Restaurant Manager at Mr P's Curious Tavern
"Monday to Thursday of the week our food sales were up 100% each day. It worked incredibly well. Consider Running twice a year." Kate Latham, Co-Owner of Pairings Wine Bar
