York Restaurant Week serves up another huge success

York Restaurant Week has delivered another major boost for the city’s hospitality industry. Thousands of diners took part in the October 2025 event, helping push its total economic impact to nearly £6 million since launch.

Running from 13th to 26th October 2025, the latest edition saw 113 businesses take part, collectively offering 258 exclusive food and drink deals across the city’s vibrant dining scene. Organised by York Business Improvement District (York BID), York Restaurant Week champions the city’s vibrant food and drink scene, driving footfall while celebrating local hospitality talent

Food lovers fully embraced the event, with 31,076 offer vouchers downloaded from the York Restaurant Week website, representing an estimated £555,000 boost in trade generated for participating venues. Some venues achieved exceptional results, with some individual offers securing more than 1,600 voucher downloads worth over £25,000 in sales value.

With 12 editions of York Restaurant Week now complete, the total estimated economic benefit of the scheme has reached between £5million to £6million

Eleanor Richardson, from York BID, said: “We’re so delighted to see York Restaurant Week continue to go from strength to strength. Each edition brings new venues, brilliant offers and thousands of visitors into our fantastic city centre. The continued enthusiasm from both businesses and diners shows just how valued the event has become and we can’t wait to bring it back again in 2026.”

The success of this autumn’s event comes as York BID secures another five-year term, following a successful ballot of levy-paying businesses, with an outstanding 91.4% voting in favour. This strong show of support ensures that initiatives like York Restaurant Week will continue to thrive and deliver value for the city’s business community.

York Restaurant Week will return in March 2026, promising even more opportunities to discover and enjoy the best of York’s restaurants, cafés, pubs and bars. For more information, visit: https://yorkrestaurantweek.co.uk/
