Classic Arcade Games to Come to Life in York this July!
York BID are delighted to announce a free interactive event this July as Parliament Street will be transformed into The Actual Reality Arcade – a hands-on experience where iconic retro games are brought to life.
Become the player in 7 larger-than-life games including a huge-scale laser run, life-sized Donkey Kong, and whack-a-mole with human volunteers! Great fun for the entire family, this free event promises a day of unforgettable fun.
Step into the arcade and play for real with:

- Laser Run
- Donkey Kong
- Invaders
- Whack
- Breakout
- Marble run
As well as these iconic retro games, visitors will get the chance to meet representatives from the local police and fire service. Families can check out the emergency vehicles, chat with officers, and discover how York’s first responders keep the city safe.
