York BID Annual General Meeting 2022

York BID is pleased to invite levy paying businesses and partners to attend its next Annual General Meeting which is free to attend and will be take place at Malmaison Hotel on Thursday 14th July 2022, starting at 6pm.

We will hear from guest speaker Max Reeves, from Helmsley Group. The York-based Group, which offers syndicated property, property finance and development opportunities, believes that how people use city centres will evolve as society opens back up in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Max will provide insight into their vision for the city centre and the revitalisation of Coney Street.

Following this, York BID Executive Director, Andrew Lowson will give an overview of the work the BID has delivered in the last year, and projects that are planned for the future. Formal business will be conducted at the end of the meeting.

Join the BID Board

York BID is governed by a voluntary board of directors and advisors who oversee the BID team and delivery of the 5 year business plan. There are a total of 14 sector representative positions on the board for which levy paying businesses (who are also registered members) may apply.

Those interested in becoming a director should read the Director’s Terms of Reference which gives definitions of the sector representative roles and details of director’s responsibilities. 

Positions on the board are renewed every 2 years during the company AGM, at which point serving directors have the option to either stand for re-election or retire. Board positions which are currently vacant or due to be renewed at this year’s AGM are listed below.

  • Independent Retail/Hospitality (due for renewal)
  • Hospitality (due for renewal)
  • Retail (due for renewal)
  • Hospitality (due for renewal)
  • Leisure (vacant)
