Tansy Beetle mural added to vibrant street art scene

The BID have continued their manifesto commitment to enhance the appearance of the city using street art by providing financial support to the new tansy beetle mural on Queen Street.

The ‘Jewel of York’ was coordinated by Amy-Jane Beer on behalf of environmental charity New Networks for Nature. The tansy beetle is an endangered creature, which for a long time was only to be found along the banks of the Ouse in York.

The work was carried out by acclaimed street artist ATM who specialises in large paintings of endangered species.
