This bold new mural celebrates the life and legacy of the Rowntree family, particularly his gift of North Street Gardens to improve workers’ wellbeing. Commissioned by York BID and installed by Art of Protest Projects, it can be found in North Street Gardens, one of York’s most cherished, but sometimes overlooked, green spaces.
The mural is supported by York Cares, City of York Eco Team, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, the Joseph Rowntree Society, and generously funded by Nestle.
