York's pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants, and entertainment venues have been recognised for excellence in safety, customer care, and community at the 2026 York Best Bar None Awards

Supported by the Home Office, the accreditation scheme is the gold standard for safer socialising.
Best Bar None recognises licensed premises that create well-managed, safe environments for staff and customers alike, helping ensure York's vibrant hospitality scene is at its best.
Participating businesses are assessed across four key areas: venue management; staff training and care; customer safety and welfare; and customer service and community.
York was recognised as a national leader in creating a safe and welcoming nighttime economy, after winning Best New Scheme at the annual National Best Bar None Awards in March 2026.

An evening of celebration took place at Impossible York and Katie O'Briens on Thursday 11th June 2026, with winners from across York's night-time economy collecting their awards.
